I’ve had this little plan for almost a year and i guess it has been used to living in my urban flat since I bought it last summer. It must be quite a different environment from the natural habitat in Southern Africa where this originates.

My recent passion for succulents is bringing me to develop a little collection of plants, that hopefully will survive my prolonged absences and can cheer me up every day, as I admire how fast they are growing during the good season. Some varieties grow faster than others and this one is a slow-grower but very beautiful with its large, pulpy and twisted leaves, arranged in a spiral pattern.

The little plant I’m featuring in this post is also familiarly called Fairy Washboard as it can be taken as a miniature tool for magical creatures. It will flower at some point during the summer and that will begin a cycle when I can start multiply little babies from the mother plant. I am looking forward for it to grow to the point when it can flower and blossom magnificiently.
