  1. Good morning from Vancouver. You have me on a mini-research project to find out the connection between Richter and Cage. Do you know the background story on this collection? Exciting.

    1. Well, the two artists knew each other for some time and share a similar approach to their art, which is driven to some extent by chance. Final results of the painting techniques used by Richter are to some extent unpredictable to the same artist. Of course the paintings were produced while listening to some music by Cage, as narrated in a documentary on the making of the series.
