Wheatfield with Cypresses – 🎨  by Vincent Van Gogh 1889 – National Gallery, London.   

🇬🇧 There are three different versions of this scene painted by Van Gogh in the summer of 1889, while he was spending some time in a mental asylum in Saint-Remy, in the South of France. All paintings depict the view from his room’s window at the asylum. The painting on the right, presently exhibited at the National Gallery, is the studio version, painted in September 1889. The first “plain air” version is exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum of New York. 

🇮🇹 Ci sono tre diverse versioni di questa scena, dipinte da Van Gogh nell’estate del 1889, mentre trascorreva un po ‘di tempo in un manicomio a Saint-Remy, nel sud della Francia. Tutti i dipinti raffigurano la vista dalla finestra della sua camera al manicomio. Il dipinto a destra, attualmente esposto alla National Gallery, è la versione in studio, dipinta nel settembre 1889. La prima versione “plain air” è esposta al Metropolitan Museum di New York.
