🇬🇧 Fantastic venue for concerts on a lively square in central Berlin. Originally built as a theatre between 1818 and 1821, heavily damaged during the Second World War, was then rebuilt from 1977 onwards and converted into a concert hall, maintaining its original neo-classical design, both in its external architecture and its sumptuous interiors., . It changed its name to the current one in 1994 and since then it proposes an intense world-class programme hosting both resident and visiting artists. It is known for having one of the best acoustics in the world for classical music.
🇮🇹 Sala da concerti fantastica proscicente una delle piazze più importanti del centro di Berlino. Originariamente costruito come teatro tra il 1818 e il 1821, pesantemente danneggiato durante la Seconda Guerra Mondiale, fu poi ricostruito dal 1977 in avanti e trasformato in una sala da concerto, mantenendo il suo originale design neoclassico, sia nella sua architettura esterna che nei suoi sontuosi interni. . Ha cambiato il suo nome in quello attuale nel 1994 e da allora propone un intenso programma di livello mondiale che ospita sia artisti residenti che musicisti da tutto il mondo. È nota per avere una delle migliori acustiche al mondo per la musica classica.
