Salade Niçoise 🍗 🥓 🥔

With ingredients like crisp greens, juicy tomatoes, briny olives, tender tuna, and hard-boiled eggs, this salad offers a delightful balance of protein and healthy fats, keeping you full without the heaviness of traditional meals. Best of all, it’s easy to prepare and perfect for those hot days when you want something light yet flavorful.

Ingredients for 2 people:

  • 4 large vine tomatoes, cut into slices
  • 1 small tin of tuna in olive oil
  • 2 Boiled eggs
  • Lettuce
  • Black olives
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper

Preparation:

  1. Boil the eggs in boiling water for 6-7 minutes;
  2. Arrange the coarsely cut salad leaves on the bottom of a salad bowl or individual cups;
  3. Crush the contents of the tuna can on the salad leaves, even with its canned liquid;
  4. Add the tomatoes cut into wedges, capers and black olives cut in half;
  5. Season with some olive oil, oregano, salt and pepper.
  6. Garnish with fresh basil leaves.
  7. Serve immediately.
