My recent passion for succulents is bringing me to develop a little collection of plants, that hopefully will survive my prolonged absences and can cheer me up every day as I admire how fast they are growing during the good season. From a specimen a bought only a couple of months ago, I have been able to propagate already a couple of rosettes and planted them in my little nursery. These seem to be already well rooted and I should be able to pot them into a new nice composition soon, with some more little cuties from my succulent nursery.

I really love the pulpiness and leaf transparency of these plants, which are called cymbiformis, from the Latin for cathedral windows. Wonderful to look at against the light and very easy to propagate from the mother plant. In fact I am harvesting some rosettes from the motherplant that is already asking to be repottted, to leave some more space for growth. The plant generates some clusters of rosettes that develop their own roots and become independent from the mother plant. One has just to detach them and allow for independent growth. I have had another haworthia for some time, an haworthia marumiana, and this has now extended its territory to the other succulents they I planted in the composition. So I need to take out regularly some rosettes to avoid this one takes over and to propagate the plant for more pots. By now I probably have more little plants that I can cope with and will be soon giving them out to friends as gifts.
