This moment yearning and thoughtful sitting alone,
It seems to me there are other men in other lands yearning and thoughtful,
It seems to me I can look over and behold them in Germany, Italy, France, Spain,
Or far, far away, in China, or in Russia or talking other dialects,
And it seems to me if I could know those men I should become
attached to them as I do to men in my own lands,
O I know we should be brethren and lovers,
I know I should be happy with them.

En este momento anhelante y absorto sentado solo,
 me parece que hay otros hombres en otras tierras ávidas y absortas,
 Creo que puedo verlos y observarlos en Alemania, Italia, Francia, España,
 o lejos, muy lejos, en China, en Rusia o hablando en otros dialectos,
 y me parece que si pudiera conocer a esos hombres, debería estar
 ligado a ellos como lo estoy a los hombres en mis tierras,
 o sé que deberíamos ser hermanos y amantes,
 Sé que debería estar feliz con ellos.

mi pare che ci siano altri uomini in altre terre bramose e assorte,
mi pare di poterli scorgere ed osservare in Germania, Italia, Francia, Spagna,

e mi sembra che se potessi conoscere quegli uomini, sarei legato

Ou loin, très loin, en Chine, en Russie ou en parlant d'autres dialectes,
Et il me semble que si je pouvais connaître ces hommes, je m'attacherais à eux
