🇬🇧 Gacela of the dead child, by Federico García Lorca
Every afternoon in Granada,
every afternoon a child dies.
Every afternoon the water sits
and talks with its friends.

The dead wear wings of moss.
The cloudy wind and the clear wind
are two pheasants flying through the towers
and the day is a wounded boy.

There was not a wisp of lark left in the air
when I found you in the wine grottoes.
There was not a crumb of cloud left on earth
when you drowned by the river.

A giant of water fell over the mountains
and the valley rolled with dogs and lilies.
Your body, with the violet shadow of my hands,
was, dead on the shore, an archangel of cold.
Ogni pomeriggio a Granada,
